When I told them I was a Dr. of Chiropractic, they would tell me all about their joint pain; ususally it was their back…
But every now and then, it was something a bit different…
The memory most etched in my mind comes from a trip I had made to Chinese Malaysia back in 2006 with a friend of mine…
My friend’s mom and dad had picked us up at the airport and taken us to their house. They promptly sat me down in front of the television where they had placed a variety of finger foods and tea in front of me…
I was under the impression they wanted me to watch a television show with them, well, that was what I had assumed; they spoke no English at all, and I was not a fluent Chinese speaker…
And, my friend looked on, non-plussed, barely interested; not surprised, so I just thought this was the routine or custom in modern day Chinese Malaysia…
To my surprise, what appeared on the screen was a film take by a camera that was being used for a Colonoscopy that had been performed on my friend’s mom; I was suddenly watching the ‘Colonoscopy Show’…
When my friend finally decided to come clean (having a good laugh at me) she translated for me that her parents wanted to know what my impressions of her mom’s colon were…
It actually looked quite clean to me; they kept a spectacular diet…
Then, it was lunchtime…ok!
My Origins And Schooling…
I was born in the United States and spent 32 years of my life in Missouri…
I attended University and recieved a Psychology degree from the University of Missouri in 1987, and then, three years later pursued a chiropractic degree at Logan College of Chiropractic; graduating in 1995…
After that, I left the state where I had grown up to go live and practice in Chicago, Illinois and then, the travelling bug bit me, and I left the country…
I am now based in the UK with my married partner and my Ginger Cat, Richie…

- And Most dearly of all, I love and appreciate my partner, Kay, who made it possible for me to write the site, and Richie the cat, for being my assistant and always setting the prime example of what it means to be persistant (he is like a 4 year old child with super powers…)

Technology and Ken Evoy with his great team of people at SBI have now made it possible for me to speak not only to one person at a time, but potentially millions…
I also enjoy being part of the SBI community, and feel more politically correct in that I have been able to set up home as an ex-pat, and contribute to the economy; all this without taking jobs from people native to the country…
